Primary Season Hits Yet Another Delay

2008 June 5

What had promised to be Barack Obama’s ultimate TGIF has been delayed once again as Hilary has apparently pushed back her concession and endorsement of Obama now to Saturday.

Those of us planning on getting crunk and toasting Hilary that night will have to wait one more day.

Whatever, its already the world’s longest electoral process, whats another day? In fact Hil, take the weekend and ramp up the news cycle Monday.

India aside, ours is about 10 months longer than the average industrialized country.

Many European countries have one month election seasons for prime minister. I realize you can’t directly compare different governments, especially the prime minister/parliament to president/congress system, but ours is still too damn long.
