Desmond Tutu comments on Gaza

2008 June 6

BCC reports on Desmond Tutu’s trip to Gaza.

Here’s what he had to say about it:

My message to the international community is that our silence and complicity, especially on the situation in Gaza, shames us all. It is almost like the behaviour of the military junta in Burma.

Calling the Israeli blockade of the Gaza strip an “abomination,” he spent two days in the area assessing the humanitarian situation seeking justification. He found none.

Ok, enough Israel today.
