Secret Service deployed to Sen. Biden’s House

ABC News is reporting that Evan Bayh and Time Kaine have been notified that they will not be asked to be Obama’s VP, and that, more importantly, the Secret Service has been deployed to Sen. Joe Biden’s house.

We’ll know for certain tomorrow morning with our texts if its true, but this seems pretty damn clear that it will be Obama/Biden ‘08.

Update, from LA Times blog:

A private chartered jet belonging to Netjets Aviation took off from Chicago’s Midway Airport, on jthat city’s South Side, this afternoon and landed not long ago at New Castle County Airport near Sen. Joe Biden’s home.

Update 2, from CNN:

After hours staking out Joe Biden’s Delaware home with no sign of the prospective VP candidate, reporters are now witnessing a flurry of activity.

Cars have recently pulled into the driveway — including a police car — and Biden’s daughter, son, and wife are now believed to be inside.

Is the Delaware Democrat gathering his family ahead of a big announcement?

All this coverage, though admittedly appreciated right now, is sorta creepy, I must say.

Update 2:30 – 3:30 EST: I was yawningly awoken at 2:30 by a text message just to find out what I knew via leaks from the secret service several hours before: Joe Biden is Obama’s VP.

Gee thanks. What, Is Obama on Hawaii Time Still?
