She believes teaching the thinly-veiled Creationist “theory” of Intelligent Design is good for public schools. My buddy Jackson can tell you why ID is so dangerous.
She is ready to jump on board of the sink ‘Roe v. Wade’ ship with McCain.
She is suing department of Interior in Alaska because she doesn’t think polar bears should be on the endangered species list because their peril isn’t well-documented and this ruling gets in the way of oil-drilling.
Oh, on that note, her husband Todd works for British Petroleum (BP). Another oil(wo)man as VP?
She doesn’t even know what a Vice President does.
As governor, she is being investigated for abuses of power.
Erm, Palin v. Biden debate?
Lifetime member of the NRA.
Strongly in favor of the “protection of marriage”.
She was also a big time supporter of Pat Buchanan back in the day.
And finally, as Jim Jordan, a veteran Democratic strategist, told Politico, “After his attacks on Obama’s readiness for the job, it’ll be amusing to hear a 71-year-old with a history of health problems justify this decision.” Suddenly, McCain’s age isn’t a joke anymore. If he dies, is this woman really who we want as commander in chief? Oh wait, where have we heard that before?
So yes, early analysis: Mobilize the base, Rove-style? 10 points. Appeal across the aisle to independents and even Hillary-Dems? 0. He just slammed the door on the independent vote with this pick. If anyone, anyone at all who was a Hillary supporter in the primaries moves to the McCain side because of this pick, they are insane. She stands against everything Sen. Clinton ran for, and will be just the same as any other hardcore Republican.
I can’t wait to see a Clinton statement on this woman.

One thing I noticed about this horrible pick of Sarah as VP, is that it gives everyone the freedom to talk candidly about McCain’s health and age.
I have written 5 college papers on the impact of Intelligent Design being taught in classrooms and I don’t see how any sane person these days can get away with believing it. Shes definitely part of the radical right, and many independents aren’t going to fall for her.
Maybe the idea was to get the Evangelical right and the Catholics. I thought that Obama could not get the Catholics at all.
Wait, Obama’s winning in the polls with catholics, its not way ahead but he still beats McCain.
Hell, I don’t know what a VP does either ( Cheney doesn’t count ). Presumably the office also serves a purpose in giving the Prez someone to bounce ideas off !

well as long as you don’t divorce her sister and then try to fight for your right to be a parent. then she is ok…
anyone man or woman who can lie, cheat, n try to destroy another persons livelihood because she is in the power to do so is not worthy of VP. Nissan resigned for much less.
ps: I personal think most of the problems u listed are issues that we vote on. What we truly need is a great leader that makes both sides settle on communication about the hard issue we face, and make them come to terms with their citizens that placed them in their position of responsibility.
