Why suspend a campaign?
Because even though John McCain has repeatedly stated that campaign manager Rick Davis has cut all ties with his lobbyist firm back in 2006, it turns out he was listed on documents as being a corporate officer for the firm as recently as April, 2008. Maybe a “I’m suspending my campaign to deal with the economy and cancel the debates” scandal was what they were looking for in order to cover up there, “I’m a dirty liar who hires active lobbyists to run my campaign scandal.”
Whoops.
