Question…
2009 July 18
Is anyone else concerned with the bizarre similarities between the ending for the 1958 classic The Blob and the real, mysterious and previously unheard of blob growing in the Arctic? Reports have it at 15 miles lone and growing.

Wait a minute … “The Blob” is on You Tube? I really need to waste more time on that site.
I’m not concerned.
That’s the staghorn algae bloom that seasonally grows off the coasts of Alaska. Looks black and hairy with gooey filamentous fibers. Probably broke free when redoubt started spewing caustics into the air and sea.
Ha, Truth be known I wasn’t actually concerned either, so much as I like feigning concern in order to post clips of old B Horror flicks.
Well, I appreciate it. I haven’t seen “The Blob” in at least 10 years … that’s a great (bad) movie!
With steve mcqueen in it no less.
